The Japanese American Citizens League Las Vegas Chapter, based in North Las Vegas, NV, is a dedicated civil rights and community organization that has been serving the Las Vegas Valley since 1968. As part of the nation's oldest and largest Asian American civil and human rights organization, the Las Vegas Chapter participates in advancing JACL's comprehensive mission to secure and uphold the human and civil rights of Japanese Americans and all Americans while preserving cultural heritage and values.

The Las Vegas Chapter actively engages the community through a diverse array of cultural and educational programs and events. Throughout the year, the organization initiates and participates in significant community celebrations including Asian Pacific American Heritage Month, Hawaiian Luau, Obon Festival, Mochitsuki, and Akimatsuri Festival. The chapter also sponsors the Kaminari Taiko Group, which spreads the joy and culture of taiko drumming and its rich history from Japan to residents and visitors throughout the Las Vegas region and beyond.

As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, the Las Vegas Chapter welcomes members from all races and cultures—Japanese ancestry is not required for membership. The organization maintains an active community center with various events held throughout the week, providing opportunities for residents of North Las Vegas and the surrounding valley to connect, learn, and participate in meaningful cultural and civic activities. Whether through volunteer opportunities, fundraising events, or community engagement, the Las Vegas Chapter continues its legacy of promoting civil rights, cultural education, and social values within the community.
